Jerry Loza

Jerry is a Mexican American veteran raised on the west side of Chicago. He served four years in the Marines after graduating from Whitney Young High School, then returned to the Chicago area and married the love of his life. He and his wife have two adult sons.

Always a pencil and pen artist, he stepped away from art for many years before beginning to draw digitally in 2018. During the COVID lockdown, he committed to completing a drawing each week. He is involved in multiple veteran art groups, and art has become an emotional outlet for him. He is a firm believer in the healing nature of art.

His primary muse is his city, Chicago, though he also draws inspiration from his heritage and military background. All of his work is painted on his Note20 phone using Artrage Vitae.
